An affiliate of Pony Baseball, Inc. Pinto League- Pinto League players, seven- and eight-year-olds, use kids as pitchers. This is the first league with "live" pitching. Players learn the mechanics of pitching and are able to develop their skills at an early age. Base running is restricted, since throwing arms are still inaccurate. Players learn the fundamentals of hitting, where to throw the fielded ball, when to look for the double play, and the basic rules of the game. The pitching distance is 42 feet and the base paths are 60 feet.
