The Complete Baseball League.
CBC is a unique baseball organization. Teams are fielded by local athletic associations which allows your child to be on the same team with his friends.
- CBC offers leagues tailored to the player's skill level.
- CBC teaches the complete game of baseball at an early age.
- CBC tailors the field size to the player's physical ability.
- CBC teams are formed in two year age increments.
In ages 5 through 14, there are two leagues available depending on the skill level of the player. The "experienced" leagues are for those who are more advanced whereas the "development" leagues allow the player to refine their skills and compete with those of like talents.
Our leagues are structured in two year age increments to better match players with similar physical abilities. At age 7, CBC offers a "kid pitch" league for those youngsters who are ready for real baseball. CBC allows the runner to lead off and steal bases beginning at age 11. This means that the youngsters are playing, being taught and learning the complete game of baseball at an earlier age which will better equip them to play in older age leagues.
Another aspect of CBC is the fact that field sizes grow proportionately with the players. For ages 9 & 10, the bases are 60 feet apart while pitching distance is 44 feet. At age 11 & 12, the distance are 70 and 48 respectively. The base paths for 13 & 14 are 80 feet and the pitching distance is 54 feet from home plate. At age 15, the players move to a regulation size baseball field of 90 foot bases and 60 1/2 foot pitching, The field sizes, as well as pitching distances, are important in the development of young players. The rules of CBC are designed to promote exciting and competitive games for all of our players.
